NANCY (Coldplay) 77 beat SOCHAUX (Chazza) 58
A great week for Coldplay, whose 77 points gave him a 9k rank for the week and lifted him over 130k places in the overall rankings. RVP (C), Mata, Nolan, Michu and Tevez all contributed for him as he kept up the chase on the leader. Chazza may feel himself unlucky, as RVP (C) and Sterling heped give him a score that would have beaten many other Ligue 1 managers.
PSG (Super Zlatan) 71 beat REIMS (Mahfreems) 40
SZ also had a week to remember, with RVP (C), Sterling and Hazard doing the business, along with Hangeland and Vorm in defence. Mahfrrems 8 point hit didn’t really help him and having two Arsenal midfielders players proved to be the wrong way to go this week. He has now dropped to bottom of the league.
TROYES (kaz) 67 beat MARSEILLE (Fratboy) 55
Kaz came off the bottom with a very decent score, courtesy of RVP(C), Nolan, Hazard and Michu, to give him two wins in a row. He used his 2 free transfers better than Fratboy, whose RVP(C) and Sterling were not enough this week.
VALENCIENNES (Bazzinga!) 62 beat LORIENT (Dr. Ennet) 35
Unlike the Ryder Cup, the USA beat Europe this time, as Bazzinga! used his Big Bang Theory to good effect, blowing away his Swedish opponent in the surprise result of the week. Bazzinga!’s highlights came from Mata, Sterling, Suarez(C) and 10 points from John-Arne Riise. Dr. E also had Suarez (C), but this was it really and his 4 point hit made no difference.
EVIAN (King Eric) 60 beat TOULOUSE (Heco87) 48
Again the USA came out on top, as RVP(C), Hazard, Michu and Schwarzer all did well for King Eric. Heco87 was not helped by his two Newcastle players Saylor and HBA doing nothing for him at the Stadium Of Light. All the same Heco87 is still in the top 2k overall rankings, so his next opponent should be worried.
AJACCIO (Ms.Red19) 59 beat BASTIA (Beavis) 56
The closest result of the week, with just 3 points between them. RVP(C), Mata, Michu and Tevez were just enough for Ms.Red19, even with a 4 point hit. Beavis will be kicking himself for giving the armband to Santi Cazorla and not to Robin Reliant.
BORDEAUX (Ryan) 57 beat LILLE (In Like Flynn) 23
A ridiculously easy win by 34 points for Ryan, fresh from last week’s victory over the league leader. ILF took an 8 point hit and must be wondering why he bothered. As he had both Santi Cazorla and Gervinho in his team. ESPN would have been painful to watch on Saturday evening. Ryan’s top scorers RVP(C) and Sterling proved enough to beat ILF on their own.
NICE (Lateriser) 56 beat ST. ETIENNE (Chrissy Waddle) 45
Lateriser lived up to his prediction with a narrow win over Chrissy Waddle, mainly due to RVP(C) and Sterling, who helped him to defeat Chrissy’s RVP(C) and Hazard. Laeriser is now back in the top 2k rankings overall.
RENNES (Sarnab Wazza) 55 beat MONTPELLIER (Gervinho’s Forehead) 47
Another close contest here, decided by SW captaining RVP whilst GF didn’t even have him in his squad. GF also took a 4 point hit, but Ba, Torres and Tevez did not bring home the points for him.
BREST (Shipstontrev) 48 beat LYON (FC Borcelona) 38
After his first defeat last week (thanks Ryan!) Shipstontrev got a jammy win to keep him at the top of the table. Captaining Gervinho proved to be a punt too far, but RVP, Hazard and Michu just gave him enough to beat FCB, who took a 4 point hit to no avail.
