SOCHAUX (Chazza) 68 beat AJACCIO (Ms Red19) 46
A really good week for Chazza, scoring the highest total of the week to win by 22 points. Tevez, Cazorla, Sterling, and Bale all contributed to Chazza’s total, which could have been greater had he captained any of those players instead of Fellaini, and if he had not benched Michu. Ireland’s Ms. Red19 also had Tevez and Cazorla, but she was one of the many to suffer from having RVP(C). She also took a 4 point hit, and her climb up the Ligue 1 table was stopped in its tracks.
VALENCIENNES (!Bazzinga!) 67 beat MONTPELLIER (Gervinho’s Forehead) 49
The first of two American victories saw Bazzinga gain a comfortable win, Suarez (C), Cazorla, Sterling and Michu being his principal scorers. Bazzinga climbs to 6th in the table.
GF also had Suarez and Sterling, and also had Bale but RVP(C) summed up his luck in the competition, as this defeat took him to the bottom of the table.
EVIAN (King Eric) 66 beat ST. ETIENNE (Chrissy Waddle) 43
U.S. victory two came thanks to King Eric’s points haul from Tevez, Cazorla, Michu and unusually Carlos Cuellar. Chrissy had Cazorla, Bale and Ba. This result moves The King up to 7th and into the Europa League places.
RENNES (Sarnab Wazza) 64 beat PSG (Super Zlatan) 48
Sarnab continued her recent good form with this victory over SZ. The Indian had Cazorla, Sterling, Michu, Bale and Ba, offsetting her choice of Fellaini as captain. SZ had a week to forget, as although he had Tevez, Michu and Bale, he also benched Sterling and had Brede Hangeland sent off.
MARSEILLE (Fratboy) 59 beat BORDEAUX (Ryan) 39
The shock result of the week saw high-flying Ryan beaten by Fratboy. Suarez(C), Sterling, Bale and Ba did the business for Fratboy, but the Kiwi only had Walcott, Bale and Ba score decently, and also took a 4 point hit. Despite this loss, Ryan is still in 4th place in the table.
LILLE (In Like Flynn) 59 beat LORIENT (Dr. Ennet) 57
Another surprise result as ILF sneaked a 2 point win over his Swedish opponent. ILF kept his finger off the transfer button after last week and it paid off, with good points from Tevez, Cazorla and Michu, although Berbatov (C) did him no favours. Dr. E had Suarez (C), Michu, Bale and Ba but still came up just short.
TOULOUSE (Heco87) 55 beat NICE (Lateriser) 45
The match of the week between the two highest FPL points scorers ended in a 10 point win for the Magpies fan. Heco87’s points came mainly from Cazorla, Sterling, Bale and Ba, although his choice of HBA as captain proved a failure as Newcastle lost at home. Sherlock aficionado Lateriser took a 4 point hit and had Walcott, Suarez and Michu, but his RVP(C) was as unsuccessful as Heco’s choice. The win puts Heco87 up to 2nd in the Ligue 1 standings.
REIMS (Mahfreems) 50 beat LYON (FC Borcelona) 41
A welcome if unexpected win for Mahfreems against FCB, who came into this match in 2nd place in the table, and slipped to 3rd after this defeat. Palace fan Mahfreems was the only one out of 20 managers to have David Silva in his team, and the Spaniard’s 16 points together with those for Sterling, Bale and Ba proved crucial, as Michu, Bale, Ba and Giroud were the only significant scorers for the Lyon manager, who nevertheless remains in a Champions League place.
BREST (Shipstontrev) 48 beat BASTIA (Beavis) 36
Yet another jammy win for Shipstontrev to make it 11 wins out of 12 and extend his lead at the top of the table to 9 points. He even got away with selling Tevez for Suarez, and also gained points from Michu, Hazard and Bale. Beavis had another underwhelming week, with only Sterling and Ba making decent contributions to his score.
TROYES (kaz) 39 beat NANCY (Coldplay) 34
You know you’ve been in a low-scoring match when your top scorer is John Ruddy!!! The Norwich keeper’s 10 points from his display against Man. Utd. combined with those from Michu and Ba made the difference here for kaz against Coldplay’s Tevez. From being the Last Man Standing, Coldplay has now lost 4 matches, and has fallen to 8th in the Ligue 1 table.
